I want to make a short point-and-click adventure game. I know there is an "adventure game maker" online, but that uses 3rd person, and I want the game to be from the player's perspective.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I could do this? I only know a tiny bit of Java, and I don't know how to use images in it.

Any suggestions as to any programs I could use would be great, or just point me in the right direction as to how I could do this.

Really all I need to do is have a user click on different points on the screen, and if they click on a certain part of the screen, a different screen will be triggered. And which screen shows up will depend on what the player has already done, so I guess some boolean variables will need to be set to true or false and stuff.

It's probably way more complicated that, but I really don't see why it would need to be? (Again, I barely know any Java, so I don't know)

I would love if there would be a simple way I could do this in Java (I have the Eclipse IDE)

So if anyone wants to let me know if this would be possible to easily do using Java...or point me in the right direction/give me a tutorial? Or let me know if I'm completely wrong and it's way more complicated than that, lol.

If it's not possible in Java or would be really really difficult to do in any language, let me know lol.

OR if you can think of any other great programs that I could easily do this in, let me know.

Thanks!
