    Programming newbie

Apologies if its in the wrong place and if i ask too many stupid questions-
I have just started programming( 3 days!)
From what i have inferred programming languages like python, java , C convert human language into computer language and which then gives us some output.

Some sources told me to download things like gedit and pyscripter - what are these?
And more important question - who makes these languages like python, java and how are they made?

Please answer considering i know nothing

gedit is a text editor for programmers.
pyscripter looks like a python IDE.

You can look up the developers of each programming language on wikipedia.

You should really be searching these on Google. The reason I'm the only one that has responded is because everybody else knows these are Google questions, not forum questions.

    What is an IDE?
    What is a text editor?
