    Question Coding Buddies/Mentor Wanted

I am new to programming and would like a buddy or mentor to network and collaborate with. I am going to be starting off with python3 because I read that it would be a good place to start before learning C; also let me know if I should just start off with C. I am also going to be learning PHP/My SQL as well.

    Anyone interested?

I would dive straight into C, if I were you. No sense in waiting just to learn it in the future. Python is being used less in the work environment from what I understand(probably gunna get flammed for saying that ), unless you have other personal reasons besides using it as a stepping stone to C.

As for getting a mentor... I personally don't think anyone would want to mentor someone without personal gain, hence why teachers get paid money. I would suggest reading a nice ebook or taking some college classes, because like I said teachers are mentors and want to help you learn. Friends on CodingForums or random community members are willing to kindly help you when you have a problem or don't understand something. Having all 3 in your arsenal(ebooks, classes, forums) is the best way of learning a programming language.

one C ebook: don't know if free or its a pirated ebook

Anyone else have something to suggest to him?

I can appreciate that Crank, thanks for the advice. 1st of all I am doing this on more of a personal venture so if you think I should just jump into C then I think I will. Other than that I can't afford to go to school for it right now, not to mention that I AM in school right now for something completely different and its already full-time-ish. As far as the Mentor thing goes, that's whatever... I AM looking for someone to kind of buddy with as a fellow NOOB, it would be nice to have someone to relate to you know but I guess I'll just have to roll forward on my own.

I find posting here or even the intention of posting here helps, when I wright out my problems in way that explanis to another person I (almost) always get a good idea that will solve my problem, and the rare case I don't I can just hit the post button. Anyway you can consider the codingforums a buddy.
