What is/can be created with C#?

I just found out that my fav game was made in java (kind of obvious but hay lol) and I'm learning C# instead of java, so my question to you is:

What is C# generally used for, an what can be made with the language?

PS: sorry for asking so much questions... but im learning a lot thanks to you guys on codingforums.com

I would think that anything that you've seen already can be created using Java, Visual Basic, and C#. The main difference, though, is probably that when it is created, the speed of your program may differ (especially for Java-GUI, I think).

So what you mean is i could eventually (based on skill make a sandbox game such as minecraft and run it with java with C#?

It is not impossible is all I can say. It is just very difficult if your background in computer science and the language you wish to use is of a beginners level. If you work towards it, you'll get there. If you sit around and only fantasize about it, you'll only sit around and fantasize about it.
