    Problem with C++ installation

    Hi guys
    I am new here and new to computer language world.
    I started to learn C++ by downloading some ebooks on it.
    Now the problem is that, ebook's have modern version syntax.
    Like they use #include <iostream> instead of older version #include <iostream.h>
    I think, you all have got the problem.
    I also downloaded new version of C++ program " Borland C++ compiler 5.5".
    But i am not able to install it.
    So if you know , how to install it. Then please do tell me.
    Or if you have some download link of new version of c++ programme.
    Please give it to me.

    We aren't mind readers, help us help you. You aren't able to install it, I presume there was some sort of error message?

    But AFAIK that is a fairly old program. There are some other alternatives that are newer, you can use Eclipse with several different compilers (gcc and the like), there is also Microsoft's Visual C++ Express that is free too.

    Well I can only suggest getting http://www.microsoft.com/express/vc/
    Visual C++ Express edition is free, missing some features of course but since you're just starting it wont matter. And Borlands C++ Builder v5.something is oooold.

    Get something simpler to use. Get the mingw with a nice environment:
