    C++ Debug Problem

    When I go to execute a program by pressing F5 in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, I get a box that pops up that says:
    "Executable for Debug Session
    Please specify the executable file."
    and a box for me to enter it. Anybody know what this mean/how to just run my program normally?? Help is appreciated!

    did you first compile then create the object file before you tried to execute it?

    When you write out your code, you have to hit build it (there's a button for it, and there's probably something in the menu - I just use the button ) - THEN execute it
