    simple notepad+syntax coloring

    Is there anyway I can create my own very simple notepad, but with coloring? like i beleive in these forums

    If you're wanting an editor that does that (for a lot of different file types) look at UltraEdit (my favorite).

    If you are adventurous you could try writing your own syntax parser, or use an existing library like http://ostermiller.org/syntax/. well, the mentioned library is for java
