    XWindows Command Set

    Hi all,

Can someone point me in the direction of the XWindows user documentation? (i.e. the command set rather than the API docs). I am using Debian Etch and the xwindows man pages are empty; Google doesn't seem very forthcoming either.

    TIA,
    Mike.

    http://www.manpagez.com/man/1/startx/

That should be all the manual pages.

that because xwindows is now xorg.
the documentation still exists but now is xorg:
    man xorg
check for man-db to be installed, and run mandb and updatedb then you can use apropos and whatis:
    Code:
    dpkg -s man-db
    ....ok installed
    ....
    mandb
    updatedb
    whatis xorg
    Xorg (1) .....
follow the see also from manpage or use apropos

some idiots decide that html is better so almost everything is in /usr/share/doc in html format if is conform to debian policy.
And because debian policy ask for man or info docs for any package other idiots decide to put a fake manpage where doc is missing.
Mean time dd idiots cut out the documentation because have dedication or something minor and is against debian policy and is not free therefor is missing.
welcome to the debian documentation project
thank you that you choose debian.

Edit: is still the best linux distro if you know what's wrong with it

    best regards
