    some vb help needed (6.0)

    Thanks for reading

I have a current project which has been on hold for around 2 months now as from work and havent had enough time to finish it, i am trying to work out how to do a few lines of code, i have a idea but its not working for me, i am using visual basic 6.0

i am making a Online media player/radio station/dj panel which will load set feeds and etc, from a Text file located on a server, everything else is reading file the thing i am looking to do is

    1. Load a text file on a website

    2. make it load line, 1,2,3 etc

    3. the line in the text file will hold the link eg www.etc.com/feed.wav

    4. once it finds the text, and loads the set feed, it needs to bring it back to visual basic

5, Than it will play that feed in a inbedded windows media player , within visual basic 6.0 and play it

Any ideas i am on msn at: blvdefotze@zerounlimited.net
and email: is same as msn

Or please reply to topic with any ideas or any code i could use to do this

There is an Winsock control you can use to download files with in VB. You will have to add it to the toolbox but you probably have the control on your system. You'll just have to find it in the list. Then just download the file to a temporary location on the computer and parse it for the information you want. The FileSystemObject will let you read files line by line.
