    MySQL and C++?

    Hey. I just started learning C++ and I'm curious about if there's a way to use MySQL in C++.
    I tried downloading MySQL++, but it only came in a .tar.gz file. Is there another way to connect, or can someone guide me? I'm using Dev-C++ at the moment. (I'd change to another editor / compiler / IDE if needed, though)

    Did you extract it?
    I'm not sure if this was any help, but I hope it didn't make you stupider.

    Experience is something you get just after you really need it.

    Downloaded Winzip -> Installed -> Unzipped -> Added to Dev-C++ Include Library -> [current place]

    I tried including "mysql++" (using: #include <mysql++>) but it said it didn't exist. Am I doing it wrong? Can someone show me how to do it, or show a tutorial? ._.

    I replaced #include<mysql++> with #include<mysql++.h>, but it gave more errors (dir. could not be found).
    I went through and I replaced all the mysql libraries with the ones I downloaded (and they are all in there), and mysql++ DOES exist in that folder where all the other includes are.

    What do I do?
