    CIW Certifications

I was wondering if I could get everyones opinion on the CIW Certifications.

Do you think that they are worth trying for?
Is it something that a employer would be looking for?

    What do you think?

I think it's getting to the point where people generally realize certifications are littler more than money sinks. Use the time and money you would have spent working on your portfolio.

I agree, to a point. Although, I will say that having at least 1 cert will help establish yourself as an "expert" in the minds of many potential clients much faster. No need to get CIW, I-Net+, RHCE, A+, WTF+ certifications. One will do.

Right now I have the A+, Network+, MCP. and will soon have the MCDST and the place where I am taking the training is telling me that I will still have about 8 to 12 weeks to learn what ever else I may want. And I was thinking about the MCAD. That should take up what time I will have left.

I am hoping that this will help since I have been unemployed for almost a year now.
