Usb vendor id and product id list?

I was just writing something for a USB device and thought I may as well make it a bit more verbose than just printing out lots of vendor and product ids. I saw that linux-usb.org has a usb.ids but when I actually used it I found that 4 of my devices it found the vendor (logitech) but no product, and 1 of them it found the vendor and product but it appeared as a 7 in 1 card reader when it is actually a "52 in 1" card reader (4 holes, accepts ms, cf, md, sd, mmc, sm.. so I have no idea where it got 7 from.. maybe its including memory stick pro or something)

I thought the linux usb device list to be relatively complete, expecting lots of users to submit their devices or something. Does anyone know of a more complete list of vendor ids and product ids?

    Hi ghell..

Have u come across this database
    http://listing.driveragent.com/usb/

I haven't had to the opportunity to do any work in relation to USB devices in the past...but by browsing the net...I have noticed that due to the high cost of membership...some companies/individuals might not bother with signing up...and just choose to assign their own id...

Thanks, that does seem to be a more complete list/database, though still lacks most of my actual product ids and I couldn't find any way to actually get the vendor and product list other than pulling it off the website each time (is there a way?)

I've seen a couple of sites selling product ids only for around $50 (presumably unofficial but still unique) and letting you use their vendor ids as long as your device uses some chip from them in it. For enterprises the cost of getting the vendor and product ids is pretty much nothing though. What is $4000 a year to logitech for a vendor id :P
