Enabling PCI-E Configuration for SLI
I have an ASUS "P5N32-SLI SE DELUXE" motherboard and 2 XFX (Extreme edition) 7900GTs. The board claims it can do 16-16-1-1-1 instead of the regular 8-8-1-1-1 but I can't find how to change it from 16-1-1-1-1 (it says this in the POST on boot). I can enable SLI in the nvidia control panel but some applications go totally messed up if i do (eg flatout2, though some work fine such as 3dmark) though 3dmark does score higher with it enabled even though its on 16-1-1-1-1 and flatout messes up with it enabled.
The drivers I have are the latest "Graphics Driver -> GeForce and TNT2 -> WinXP and 2000" and "Platform / nForce Drivers -> nForce4 SLI Intel -> WinXP / 2000" (but I wasnt sure if this was supposed to be "nForce4 Intel x16" instead of "nForce4 SLI Intel") from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
Before I put these drivers on I was using the drivers that shipped with the hardware.
How do I set it to 16-16-1-1-1 and should I have the "nForce4 SLI Intel" or the "nForce4 Intel x16" drivers?
Thanks in advance
