What type of processor is it?

If it is a manufactured computer, you can usually look up the specs on the company's website by entering your serial number in and it would specify the type of memory that was in it when they built it.

    Intel pentium III
    I think it's not a manufactured computer.

Is there a software to check it?

Any system information tool such as the one that Mark specified or stuff like CPU-Z, SiSoftSandra, Everest etc will be able to tell you what memory you have. From the type of processor and apparent age of the computer I reckon it'd either be PC100 or PC133.
