Should switching domain names be a relatively seamless process
I currently own two domains, one of which is a .net. The other, a .com, is a pointer that automatically forwards to the .net. I manage both domain names through GoDaddy so I have control over dns. In addition, the web host provides cPanel so I can administer email accounts, etc.
I would like to switch the two. My web host has stated that they can do this. Beyond the obvious replacement of the words, links, images/logos, are there any potential issues with email, databases, etc.? What other things should I consider prior to the switch?
