    remembering a password in Mac

Usually when you type a username and password for a website in a PC (Windows XP) it remembers it - meaning when you go to that website another time and once you type the username and tab to the password box it automatically enters the password for you. Does this same is true for Macs? (either 9 or 10 or whatever the latest version). Because I dont have a mac and I cannot test this.

Even with username, say if I dont give the username to any one with PC they might be able to figure out by typing the first letter and a dropdown comes and displays the username. Does Mac does this?

It depends completely on what web browser being used - most, if not all, browsers do nowadays.
