    Protecting Drives

I have 2 harddrives in my desktop computer and I have formatted them into 2 partitions each. Is there a way that I can protect one of the partitions so that only I can access the contents of that drive when I am logged in on that computer and also over my network from my laptop?

Preferably within windows so that I don't have to purchase any 3rd party software.

Under the user accounts in the control panel, you should have to option to make your files private. This will allow only you to access your files though any one else will still be able to see that 2nd harddrive but only their files and not yours.
