How to log local printer settings?

I need to log the settings (printer resolution most importantly) of a local printer. I've played around with W32_Printer but I can't seem to get a script to work.

    Any suggestions?

When you mean log, do you mean like back them up so they can be used on other machines? If so, then I'm not sure so don't quote me on it, but I think you could copy the default user profile's ntuserdat. As I say, I'm not sure.

I don't need to copy the settings I just want to have a way to check up on these settings. If I could somehow record the printer resolution in a logon script that would be an acceptable solution.

Ideally I would like to have a way to set these settings every time a user logs on but since they aren't stored in the registry (other than in a HEX key that doesn't change consistently) that really isn't an option.

If it helps I'm working with the Adobe PDF printer that is installed with Adobe Acrobat Pro 6 and 7.
