    Export/Importing services.msc

I reformat every few months or so to basically clean out all the crap my brother and mom manage to install on the computer. Ussually backing up the files, reformating, then transfering the files back over takes about 4 hours. I let the transfer of files run while I'm watching a movie or something so it's not really that bad. The 4 hours doesn't include resetting the services.msc which is a pain in the ***. In the past I've taken screen shows of what's set at what but it still takes a good half hour. So I was wondering if it's possible to export services.msc before I reformat, then import then afterwards?
I've only been able to find stuff on the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard", will that do it for me?

call me crazy but have you tried just copying and pasting the services.msc file from your old installation to your new one?

I have no idea if that will work or not - may be worth a try while loaded in safe mode and see what happens?

    services.msc lives in C:\WINDOWS\system32
