    desktop problem.......

    hi, there i got a new labtop with windows xp

    im logged on the computer administrator

    but it wont let me change the wallpaper/background

    i dont know what to do

    The computer doesn't have any sort of security policy setup on it does it? e.g. Group Policy?

    I did a search on google and askjeves but what im noticing that it might be a spyware torjan deal. or something to do with your OS. You can take it i back if you dont get it fixed. Or just google it and keep on looking.. but thats what I found I dont know if your having the same exact problem..

    Does the current wallpaper carry the laptop manufacturer logo?

    This used to happen a lot in Internet Explorer... Use certain ISP's and they would not allow you to alter your start page.

    Could a similar trick be present here?? After all, any advertising is good advertising... For the manufacturer I mean
