    fixed ip address

    how can i have if possiable a fixed ip address on a dial-up conection?

    you cant choose wether your IP is static or dynamic or not, thats up to your ISP. ut if you are hosting your server at home try www.dyndns.com or www.no-ip.com for havng an automatic update of your IP to your free domain

    Some ISP's provide that as an optional feature. Check with your ISP to see if they do.

    Sign up to an unlimited access ISP for a monthly fee. Dial up and connect to the web. Now, don't disconnect. Be sure to check their T&C's to ensure you are not breaking any rules and there are no time limits per single connection and off you go.

    Cheap n chearful.

    Now, coffee time.
