I recently obtained an older computer (not too too old), and replaced Windows ME with a legit copy of WinXP I had laying around. Now, I want to expose it to the net, but I know the dangers of an unpatched Windows system. The problem is, I'm only on dialup, and it would take days to download the hundreds of megabytes in patches I would need to get it up to par.
Now, it's possible for me to go wardriving with my powerbook and find a fast network, but is it possible to download *every* cumalative patch and burn to a cd (or dvd, if I have to)? Last time I updated a Windows machine I seem to remember many many patches that I had to download and install in order, and I'm not sure if I can get them outside Windows Update.
