    Remote execution

Does anyone know how I should do if I want to execute a command or a file/program on a remote computer in a network. I have access to the network and there's no firewalls and I know that the computer runs Remote Assistance and has Windows XP. But I also know that there's a password and probably a username I believe it is admin. But I can't brute force it because it's to slow and the password could be kind of tricky. The computer is not running a webserver and I don't think that it has a lot of ports open. I thougt about finding the password with a sniffer but the Remote Assistance is almost never used. So I wonder if there's a exploit or something that would let me execute a file/program or a command. It don't have to be through the Remote Assistance but I'm guessing that migt be an easy option.

I don't recommend exploiting anything, but take a look at this guide: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scr..._overview.mspx
    Thanks in advance!

You need to look at here Section 1.4
Why would you want to remotely execute a program on the remote computer when you could easily ask the administrator to run it? Unless of course, the administrator shouldn't know about it ... which in this case can be classified as wrong or illegal.

This does look like a strange request, and I don't think anyone here would be interesting in soliciting illegal requests

    Oh now come on!

If you're attempting to do something like this (which obviously you really don't have access to) then you should leave well alone, or at least phrase your question in a way that it doesn't stink of illegality.

You don't have to worry cause it's my siters computer and I want to run a funny program on her computer. The reason why I don't know so much about the computer is because she won't tell me.

Nike, although your reasons are seemingly harmless, what you require could be put into harmful use by some not-so-pleasant people who might get hold of it. I suggest you give up the idea or source for solutions in a harmless way. Why won't your sister allow you come near her PC? You could just copy the file you want on a storage device and have her run it. That way, you're not touching her pc are you? Or collaborate with one of her friends to put the file on her PC.

....or set up a network share on her computer and then allow her firewall to allow access to her computer from yours

....or shouldn't I have said that?

The thing is to get the file on to her computer is not the problem but executing it is. Since she alread have a shared folder, perhaps I can execute it through netbios since she has no restrictions on the shared folder? I have physical access to the computer but I don't want to start it that way because I can and it's to simple, and fooling her friends won't work .

you might be able to write a bat(ch) file and then disguise it as a game or something she uses on her desktop, although why not put the whole application there and then go and trick her somehow into opening it?
