    Creating a .tar.gz file?

I've found win-gz but this seems to create the .gz. How do you create a .tar.gz? Will I even get better compression than a .rar?

    Thanks,
    Ash

I think they are about the same in terms of compression, but I think .tar.gz is more secure...but having said that I'm not too sure.

I think .tar.gz is for linux initally anyway.

All a .tar.gz file is is a tar file that has been gzipped.
