Questions about my Smart Home: Speaker/Microphone setup
I am currently in the process of learning how to contole appliances in my home via the computer, however, alike on the Star Trek ships, I plan to dot around celling speakers and almost hidden high sensitive microphones. Each room will have a minimum of one speaker and one microphone and a maxinum of 6. Moving off the topic of the microphones, while looking for some speakers, I found some useful ones for my project, the Klipsch LightSpeaker System, of which, can be instealled easily if you have a recessed light fixture. In my apartment, we have no recessed light fixtures, and as I'm currently unsure about installing these, it is the concept I wish to talk about. Useing the Klipsch LightSpeaker System, you can specify zones of whcih, your speakers are in, so you could have the radio on in one of your rooms, and music from your computer in another. So here is my question: I buy some wired/wireless celling speakers, how can I apply the same method, of which the Klipsch LightSpeaker System offers?
Many Thanks & Best Regards,
PS: I do know this is going to be a differcult and long process to set up, of which I am aware about and I am currently learning C/C++ for when it comes down to programming my device to connect to other devices and control them and whatnot.
PPS: I am going to be adapting the Windoes 7 Voice Recognition, so you can say for example "Computer - Turn on/off Hall Lights", however, would it be possible, if you do not say the room, to turn on/off the lights of the current room your in via a microphone zone detection?
