    Exclamation What antivirus program for Ubuntu?

    I have both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.1 on my PC. What antivirus should I use for Ubuntu?

    Problems, problems.

    Don't really need one, there is no Virus that affects an up to date version of Linux.... but if you want to scan for windows viruses before say mailing them to your friends.... just open the software center and search for virus scanner.

    BTW just for FYI's sake its 11.10 not 11.1 the version number tells you when the version was released <year last 2 digits with leading 0's removed>.<month> so 11.10 is 2011. October so if there was an 11.1 it'd be 2011 January which well it's not. So for example 7.04 would of been released in 2007 April

    @eeffpeetee Avast is a good anti virus for you to use in Ubuntu and it is free.

    u just need a anitivirus for window. ubuntu do not need any antiviruses bcz it not support .exe files till you don't go with wine package in this O/S.
