    old owner still appears

I recently changed my Owner name. But when I look in a file's Properties/Details, under the Property column, next to Owner, it shows: NEW OWNER\old owner.

Also under the Users directory, the subfolder inside bears the old owner name. Furthermore, there is no folder bearing the name of the new owner under the Users directory, but the Personal folder (the first folder listed in Windows Explorer) does bear the new owner name.

Why is my old owner name showing up anywhere? How can I get rid of the name completely from my computer? My OS is Vista 32bit, and there is/always has been only one account on this computer.

Ok I made a new account and deleted the old. The old users subfolder is gone and the new one appears now, but in the file properties next to Owner it now shows a long combination of letters and numbers, looks like a key from registry.. S-1-5-21-3665811211-307972827-282464...

    What now?
