Smile How to connect 2 computers to the internet?

    Hi there

I have one computer, which is connected to the internet using a BSNL modem. But I recently bought a new computer and I want to connect that to the internet as well. I have got an Airtel wireless router that can connect both computers to the internet. I have installed the software for one computer, but I can't do it for the other one.

If you have any tips please help me?

    Thanks

If you are using a wireless router then each PC would have it's own wireless hardware whether that is an internal wireless adapter card or a USB adapter dongle. Each of those would come with it's own driver/software package. What do you mean by you can't install the software for the other one?

If you're referring to the software that came with the Airtel router you can leave it alone. That software is only used to configure the router for the first time (or if it gets reset). Side note: You do not need that software to configure it, they just include it because it's easier for most people to use that instead of using the IP address of the router to log in and configure it.

Assuming you can connect to other wireless networks with this new computer all you will need to do is browse for new wireless networks and then connect to it, no software install is necessary.

Yeah you need to be a littel more specific as to your setup and the computer that cant connect is it a PC, laptop? How is it connecting? Wireless? If so then all you would need to do is enter the SSID and password assuming it is properly configured. This is assuming you are running a version of windows and if so which one?

does Your other computer have wireless capabilities ? If so, just go to Your wireless settings on computer , connect to network , find your router and connect.
