    Question help!pop ups on firefox.

    hi everyone i will be very grateful for your help. I am not fantastic on computers but kind of know what im doing. i have started to get pop ups/pop unders. everytime that i have moved nine pages within my web browser i get a fresh pop under then after the next nine a fresh pop under appears.
    this is starting to get irratating. i have got Avast anti virus home edition installed and also Kapersky is installed i have done numerous scans using each program and nothing has resolved it. any help will be really appreciated and i will get anything needed to assist you helping me. i am using a laptop and running windows vista as well just to let you no thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.

    ok i have scanned wit spybot and it found 12 problems but when i try to fix it says i need to be administrator. i am the only user on my laptop so therefore am the admin. also says that some maybe in use in memory. any ideas? thank you for replying

    When you run the program, instead of double click on the icon, right click on the icon and click "Run as administrator" and try it again.

    ok that got rid of one but i get this message "some problems could not be fixed; The reason could be the associated files are still in use(in memory).This could be fixed after a restart. i restarted and it didn't sort it out. the one thing that is left to delete is something called "DoubleD" thank you again for your reply.

    ok i have done a scan and got a log file i dont want to fix anything as i dont understand any1 able to help with that? thank you

    there are forums where you can post the log from the scan and they'll help you identify the baddies.... but sadly i don't remember what they're called right now. sorry. google it.

    You may have to boot into safe mode to prevent the malware from starting up. You can do this Start>Run>msconfig and under the BOOT tab, check safeboot, and then minimal (if I remember correctly).

    After the computer has finished booting, try removing the malware again.
