Unhappy VPN issues.... arghhhh help needed plz!

    ok,

the scenario is that we need to VPN a few machines (manager's machines) so we can hook back into work when at home. all using winXP pro SP3.

now, all machines work on the VPN in a basic way. they can all see their desktops, use email, see the corporate intranet, browse shared folders on the server etc.

the problem comes when using my PHP project management system. some machines can see the webserver (well, little box running apache, php and mysql lol) and some cant. the URL is: http://delmar12/projman/login.php (doesnt work via IP on those machines either!)

:: all VPN settings are identical.
:: all network settings on machines are identical (DNS, WINS, TCP/IP) etc.
:: if i do an ipconfig /all the setting are identical apart from the IP addresses.
:: all use same version of IE to connect.

im absolutely stumped. they appear to be identical but its almost 50/50 which will and won't connect.

now, maybe i should setup WINS on the server to rename delmar12 to something like WEBSERVER but to be honest im not a network/server guy im a webdev/designer who happens to be the only one here who does any IT!

Has anyone used the Mobile VPN service for the new Samsung Blackjack? How does it work? We are looking into using the new mobile VPN service offered on the Samsung Blackjack yet can't find any information as to how it works. Do you need specifice software to vpn into a network? Does it support all applications or only Microsoft applications? Any information on this technology would be helpful.
