iMac Making Wierd Noise ( 1 Day Old )

    Hi All,

I purchaced another iMac yesterday. When i turn it on i get this very high pitched very fast beeping noise. It's not the speakers because I have tried them i think it may be the Hard Drive. Don't hold me to that though, because I really dont know!

Here is the iMac's spec ( it may be able to help ):

    17" TFT Screen
    2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ( Processor )
    1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM ( Memory )

I really hope you guys can help! Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure thats normal. Its the hard drive spinning. Every new laptop I've purchased has had the same noise. It didn't matter what brand it was.

Yeah all mine too but never this loud. It's freakin' deafining. My other iMac and my two Mac Book's dont make that noise. They make close to none.
