Video flicker that seems to be caused by the mouse

I've been experiencing some strange problems lately (like 2 weeks ago it began) with my computer. First it started when I would use the scroll wheel on my mouse and whenever there was a scoll bar to actual scroll it would cause the monitor to go black. So I moved the mouse to a diffrent USB port and now when I drag files from windows explorer into HomeSite it seems to do the same thing.

I just recently purchased a new GF4 back in early september. Maybe it's going wonky? Could it be a video card driver issue? (There is newer driver release)

    Specs:
    Athlon XP 1600+
    512MB PC2100 DDR
    A-Bit Siluro Geforce 4 MX 440 64MB DDR
    A-Bit KR7A-RAID Motherboard
    Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical USB

I would update the drivers and see if that fixes the problem... perhaps update your mouse drivers too? Maybe there's some conflict between them (just guessing here, but neither one can hurt anyway...).
