Is IT recruitment broken?
These days there are so many ways for a developer to demonstrate their value. They can contribute to open source code, they can be a good citizen on StackOverflow and forums like this, they can have a blog and write up tutorials.
I know you have other (better) motives for doing such things, but does all of this help you get a job interview? Or should you just focus on your CV and LinkedIn profile?
I would love to hear your thoughts. I've also put together a little survey (about 2 minutes?) to find out more about these issues. Could you do me a favour and check it out?
