Thanks for your advice about salary/benefits for an entry level web designer.
I had an interview this morning with a small web design firm, and they offered to take me on as a subcontractor for $20-$25/hour. This seems like a really good deal for me, as I will be able to work my own hours, and also have a chance to learn from some really fantastic designers.
I am not too familiar with subcontracting agreements. Do anyone have any advice on what to look for in the agreement? Have you been burned before by bad contracts? I am assuming that benefits will be minimal, but I'm not too concerned for now, since I have medical insurance and retirement planning through my wife's job.
