    Cross platform development

I have heard a rumour that it is possible to create apps for smart phones using only HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript.
Up till now I have used PhoneGap to make my programs cross platform compatible, but I have been given to understand that with only HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript one can create crossplatform applications(Cross platform = Android, IOS and Blackberry).
Can someone please point me in the correct direction?

You can simply include CSS rules that cause certain sections of CSS code to only be implemented on certain platforms or screen sizes. Is this what you are looking for?

    Hi.
Although it's not defined as a (mobile) App, I would think that the most compatible to most mobile platforms is HTML5 itself (with CSS3 & some javascript of course). Only when you need to use/ interract with mobile hardware or might require the App to run in offline mode, then you'll need to convert it into some native Apps via phoneGap.

Cross Platform Building is possible now.. Phonegap as well as simple 2d game making engines like Construct 2 does offer building the application/game to suite all the common smart phone OS types.but anyway their will be sometimes issues related to speed and smoothness of the game/app compared to game/app coded targeting one OS at a time..
