    form question asp.net

I am trying to reuse an existing form. In it's present use there is one field that is otherwise required and it has a requiredFieldValidator. In the instance where I want to reuse it, this particular field is not needed. Is there a way at runtime to have this particular field not trigger the validator control upon submission? All code is vb.net

You can choose which fields it's intended to validate. This should help you figure it out.

    You dont understand.

I am validating the textbox when the user is coming in directly from their admin section. However, when the user is redirected from another page, I do not show this particular textbox nor it's associated label. Now how do I stop the control from trying to validate the field that I don't want to show?
