I am trying to open up an Excel file to update. The file name will change every time so I cannot create a DSN. I am using the following code:

Dim objConn, objRS

Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
Set objRS = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")

MyFile = server.mappath("Spreadsheets\2003-1.xls")

objConn.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & MyFile & ";DefaultDir=" & MyPath & "/Spreadsheets" & ";Mode=ReadWrite;FIL=excel 8.0;ReadOnly=0;"

I am getting the error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80004005)
Could not find installable ISAM.

I have downloaded and installed the latest jet drivers and MDAC 2.8. I have given IUSR access to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ODBC registry key. I have given IUSR access to the TEMP directory. I have searched all over the internet but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone know a better way to do this? I just want to update an existing Excel file.
