    Question "Operation Cancelled" ?? Adodb error.

    Everything was going fine, my scripts were all working in harmony with one another and smack I hit a brick wall.

    I'm getting an "Operaction Cancelled" error when I try to execute an sql query.

    The error is eactly this..
    Code:
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e4e'

    Operation Canceled

    /odyssey/register_register.asp, line 50
    Line 50 is my rs.Open statement for the query...
    Code:
    sqlCheckUser = "SELECT * FROM Users WHERE Username ='"&Username&"'"
    sqlCheckEmail = "SELECT * FROM Users WHERE Email = '" & Email & "'"

    rs.Open sqlCheckUser, conn
    I've rewritten all that a few times and printed to the screen and when I try to register I just get the error. I've never seen it before.

    HELP!
    Omnis mico antequam dominus Spookster!

    Reserved word maybe ?!? Try wrapping the Username variable (or table Users) with [] brackets.

    I know in SQL Server that User is a reserved word, have to use [User] instead. Just guessing here, I've never received that error... perhaps a google search might turn something up of use...
