Packaging and Deploying and ASP Project

Up to this point, I've always manually deployed ASP web projects. Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding the packaging of an asp application with custom built components as an executable?

There might be a commercial product available but if you know ASP, then you should be able to construct a VB program to install it... Or write a batch file. Even in windows 2000 server and stuff you can still do basically everything from the command line.

Here is a tool I wrote that may give you a few ideas.

In order to streamline creating standardized websites and their associated SQL Databases, I developed a web page that takes advantage of IIS 5.0's administration VBS scripts to automate the installation process. This prototype web page is an uses client-side WSH and JScript in conjunction with a web interface to automate building websites.

Its too bad that I'm not a C++ programmer or I could use InstallShield...I really like the way that ASPUpload is installed; especially, where it self-registers the component and creates a virtual directory in IIS thus fully automating the process. Also, I looked at Wise Installation System, which starts out at $999.00.

Thanks aCcodeMonkey and oracleguy...I'll take a look at the wsh/jscript sample. I could probably rig something in VB6, but it wouldn't be pretty.
