    ASP/Flash guidance, please

    Hello

    I have a contact form with several (input text) fields in my FLA (MX 2004) file:

    Name
    Email
    Subject
    Country
    Message

    They have the following 'Instance' names:

    name_txt, email_txt, subject_txt, country_txt, and message_txt.

    Also in the Properties window of my FLA file, I have inserted (in Var):

    fullname, email, subject, country, and message.

    I am using the 'POST' method from my FLA file which ought to be able to 'see' my ASP file - but doesn't.

    The ASP file it ought to 'see' has a simple script, as follows, but I am not sure if it is correctly written:

    <%
    Dim fullname,email,subject,country,message

    if Request.Form("Submit") <> "" then

    fullname = Request.Form("fullname")
    email = Request.Form("email")
    subject = Request.Form("subject")
    country = Request.Form("country")
    message = Request.Form("message")

    Server.Transfer "welcomeFlash.asp"
    End if

    %>

    I am not sure if the following line is correct because I do not know what 'Submit' refers to:

    if Request.Form("Submit") <> "" then

    It is not the name of any file I have in my FLA file.

    And, I am not sure if what follows that line shouldn't be written simply as:

    Request.Form("fullname")
    Request.Form("email")
    Request.Form("subject")
    Request.Form("country")
    Request.Form("message")

    I would appreciate any comments.

    Thanks.

    Steve

    Ok: there's a couple of things in your post that don't make sense to me, and I'm not very familiar with MX, so this might be a bit vague, but... a couple of questions:

    1. How are you actually sending these values to your ASP file? Are you using LoadVars? Can you post any ActionScript code?

    2. What's this ASP file supposed to be doing? At the moment it's just loading some form values into variables, then sending it all off to another ASP page without actually doing anything with them. And the "Submit" thing - yeah, that's looking for a field called "Submit", and if there isn't one in your form, it won't do much at all.
