    Post Program?

I don't know where to put this...

What Coding Program/Software do you use?

I am currently using Frontpage 2000 but I want something NEW!

Please Suggest, and Tell me what you use.

I prefer coding in notepad, simplicity is the best tool.

    Couple more suggestions:

    Windows:
    -------------
    Frontpage 2003
    Dreamweaver CS3
    Notepad
Notepad 2 (same as above, but allows for color coding)
Textpad ( less than Notepad2, but more than Notepad)

    Linux:
    -------------
    BluFish
    nVu

Depending on what language you are writing in (ASP, JSP, PHP, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, etc), sometimes command line is best...

    For anything .NET, Visual Studio.
For anything else, either Dreamweaver MX or EditPlus 2 (it's like Notepad, but better, has syntax highlighting and stuff).

If this post contains any code, I may or may not have tested it. It's probably just example code, so no getting knickers in a bunch over a typo, OK? If it doesn't have basic error checking in it, such as object detection or checking if objects are null before using them, put that in there. I'm giving examples, not typing up your whole app for you. You run code at your own risk.

SWiSHMax is much easier to learn than Adobe Flash in my opinion and its fairly cheap in comparison. Only $150 vs Adobe's $699.
