recording client activity to asp session

I might not have put the title correctly. The thing is I have a database table which I have displayed using ASP and there is paging facility (I mean by default the asp page displays 20 records and user can go to next records by clicking next page button ). there is a serial number column and I want the user can click on the serial numbers he want among differnt pages and this activity should be passed on to a asp session variable. I am able to do it using javascript but only on one page. When I go to next pages this info is lost.
    Pl help

If you want to do it dynamically then you can use Ajax to pass javascript code to an ASP script and save the data in a session.

    e.g.
You have checkboxes on a page.
When you check the boxes the javascript code grabs the ids of the checked boxes, then Ajax sends the IDs to an ASP script that holds the data in a session variable.

If you want to do it with just Javascript then you can use cookies.

If you want to do it with just ASP then you will have to submit a form for ASP to know which boxes were checked.
