Problems adding the SUM
I am trying to get the sum of a column (cost) in between 2 certain dates and equal to something (lunch) in another column (team)
Any Ideas of what to do here?
dim firstDate, lastDate
firstDate = Request.Querystring("startdate")
lastDate = Request.Querystring("enddate")
Set MyConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
MdbFilePath = Server.MapPath("db/login.mdb")
MyConn.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & MdbFilePath & ";"
SQL_query2 = "SELECT SUM(cost) AS [RecordSum] FROM expensereport WHERE mydate BETWEEN #" & firstDate & "# AND #" & lastDate & "# and team='lunch'"
Set EX = MyConn.Execute(SQL_query2)
WHILE NOT EX.EOF

Well, you took my idea.
What's wrong with it?
If this post contains any code, I may or may not have tested it. It's probably just example code, so no getting knickers in a bunch over a typo, OK? If it doesn't have basic error checking in it, such as object detection or checking if objects are null before using them, put that in there. I'm giving examples, not typing up your whole app for you. You run code at your own risk.
