    .NET Installation Question

In preparation for teaching myself ASP.NET, I have just installed IIS, the .NET framework and the .NET SDK on my PC (my OS is Windows XP Professional). I noticed that after I had installed the .NET framework, I acquired a new user account called ASP.NET on my PC. Is there any compelling reason to have a separate user like that? Can I delete that user account and still use .NET on my PC?

I'm on a home network, and I'm the only person that uses this PC, so I'd like for there only to be one user account. I don't understand why the installation process doesn't give me an option to install that for the existing user. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Excellent! Thanks for the link. It looks like he gives a link to a fix for my biggest complaint, which is having to select a user accounts when I logon to my PC.
