    Smile how to Add/delete/retrieve/update image in sql

    I'm doing mini project "online shopping" in asp.net with sql server 2000

    i want to store images in sql and i want to retrieve it and display the image.

    give me some easy tips and coding for that . . .

    Usually, the uploaded images are not stored in database as it may create some extra overhead to the server.

    Instead, store the files in the directory with some unique names (to avoid overwriting) and then save the path of the files in database.

    if that isn't it (should be though) the key word you are looking for is BLOB (binary large object)
