    DoEvents in ASP.NET

    I have the following tag -
    <input id="FileToSave" type="file" runat="server">
    and use the following method to upload files to the server -
    FileToSave.PostedFile.SaveAs(filename)

    Can anybody tell me if this is a blocked method? In other words does it need something like DoEvents if the file to save is pretty large? And if yes, how to implement DoEvents in ASP.NET?

    It is blocking.
    Unless there was something else you wanted the web page itself to do while the file is being saved, there is no need for DoEvents. (DoEvents isn't applicable, either, but you could do your own threading)

    The server takes care of threading for web forms and it won't kill your server. Each AppDomain has its own thread.

    If this post contains any code, I may or may not have tested it. It's probably just example code, so no getting knickers in a bunch over a typo, OK? If it doesn't have basic error checking in it, such as object detection or checking if objects are null before using them, put that in there. I'm giving examples, not typing up your whole app for you. You run code at your own risk.
