XML vs Database with PHP

I have a question to make!!! Is any advantage to convert the DB data in xml to show in the main page formatted with PHP???

Go to www.w3schools.com in XML and tell me what do you think!! I´m confused!!! I don't want to show the site in other hardware aplications but I want to enter in the future and I want the information can be acessed for everyone in other reading machines" (agents). Do you think you can help me???

No, it would be a disadvantage. Databases are optimized for handling data while XML... XML can be used for anything which makes it inefficient in everything.

Ok sorry!! I want to show and add/remove/update news in an administration with XML using a relational DB!!
