FTP Server help

I set up a server using freeNAS I got everything to work except the FTP over the internet but the FTP in the LAN works I port forwarded ports 20 and 21 on both my d-link and my modem/router any ideas on how to fix it

Find out where to set a passive port range on your FTP server, something like ports 10201 thru 10250. Then try connecting passively to the server. See if that helps.

Do you have anti-virus software that might be blocking it? That's the only other thing I can think of.

no nothing on the system and all the firewalls r down
