Load it in firefox, then load it in ie. First question. How do I make the tabs go next to the line on the bottom, and work like they do in firefox. Secondly, the side boxes in the header, how do i put those against the bottom of the header as well?

Internet Explorer’s float model is broken as per the CSS standards. The bottom padding is being added to this broken model in Internet Explorer, resulting in the undesired white space below the hyperlinks. To understand why it’s broken, you can read the article at http://www.complexspiral.com/publications/containing-floats/. Specifically, your navigation is being rendered as Figure 4 in that browser when Figure 3 is the correct model.

Thanks guys for the responses. I know about the css float model in ie, but my questions is, taking all of that into account, is there any way to use css hacks for ie to make this work, or something like that? Any possible way to do it would be nice.

Try clearing your floats. Resource: http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=ClearingSpace.
