Parsing invalid html

Hello!

I am working for a mozilla extension where i want to extract information from different sites work on it and merge it to one site. Now I have some problems with non valid xhtml sites. I was looking for html parser and i found parsers written in php. vb or perl, no one in javascript. :confused:
That's why my question is html parsing with javascript possible? or it's to difficult?
